Life Made Competitions Ltd – Terms and Conditions
Prize Draws and Winner Selection
- The Winner(s) will be selected and awarded the prizes as specified on the Life Made Competitions website, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- All competitions require a skill-based entry to qualify for exemption from the Gambling Act 2005. Only those entries with a correct answer will be entered into the draw.
- The draw to determine the Winner(s) and any Runner(s)-Up will take place on the specified Draw Date.
- If by the Closing Date the minimum required number of entries has been received, the competition will close and a draw will be conducted on the Draw Date to determine the Winner and any Runner(s)-Up.
- If fewer than the required number of entries is received by the Closing Date, the competition will still proceed. In such a case, the Promoter reserves the right to offer a cash alternative equivalent to a percentage of the net proceeds from entry fees, after deducting operating costs and charitable contributions. This revised prize will be communicated to participants prior to the Draw Date.
- If any Winner or Runner(s)-Up cannot be reached within 21 calendar days using the contact details provided, the prize will be offered to the next eligible entrant drawn. Reserve entries may be drawn and kept confidential to facilitate this.
- All draws are conducted using a secure, automated random selection process overseen by an independent adjudicator, or verified using recorded evidence available upon request.
Free Postal Entry
- We offer a free postal entry option for all competitions. For full details on how to enter for free by post, please visit: https://lifemade.co.uk/free-postal-entries.
Charity Contributions
- Where applicable, a percentage of the total entry fees may be allocated to a charity donation. This contribution will be calculated and paid within a reasonable timeframe, typically aligned with financial year-end reporting.
Winner Verification and Prize Allocation
- Winners and Runner(s)-Up must provide valid identification, including a passport or driving licence and two utility bills or bank statements (dated within the last three months).
- If any legal or compliance issue prevents the awarding of a prize, the Promoter reserves the right to suspend the award or allocate it to the next eligible entrant.
- Prizes are non-transferable and will only be awarded to the individual named as the Winner or Runner-Up (or their estate in the event of death).
Winner Announcement and Publicity
- The names of the Winner(s) and Runner(s)-Up will be published on the Life Made Competitions website, via email updates, and on official social media channels.
- By entering, entrants agree to reasonable publicity use of their name and image if they win.
Limitation of Liability
- The Promoter, its agents, or affiliates will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from participation in the competition, except where caused by negligence or fraud.
- The Promoter’s total liability to any entrant is limited to the value of entry fees paid by that individual.
- While efforts are made to ensure accuracy, the Promoter accepts no liability for errors or omissions in prize descriptions or website content. Entrants must verify details before entering.
- The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 regarding delivery timeframes do not apply to this competition.
General Terms
- Entry fees collected are not held in a trust or escrow and are managed at the Promoter’s discretion.
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication and will not affect existing entries.
- These Terms do not create a contractual relationship beyond participation in the competition.
- The competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
- Entrants are encouraged to retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions.
Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes must be submitted in writing to info@lifemade.co.uk within 14 days of the Draw Date. The Promoter will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Right to Disqualify
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries deemed fraudulent, automated, or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Prize Acceptance
- Winners must accept their prize within 21 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture and reallocation.
Digital Communications Disclaimer
